Winter Wonderland

Thanks to one of our Canadian pilot friends, we were able to get a sneak peek at how the lodge is holding up.
If you look close, you can see animal tracks weave through out the property.

So much for NO SNOW!

Yesterday I made a comment as to how pleased I was that there was no snow.
Today, the sky opened up & huge puffy snowflakes began to fall. All I can say is: PLEASE! No BLIZZARDS!!!

DJ Enns and Back Bear Island Lodge

DJ Enns will be leaving Harrisburg, PA heading for Calgary, Alberta early Wednesday morning. He'll be meeting more Canadian friends and making them more aware of what Black Bear Island Lodge has to offer.

Black Bear Island Lodge has incredible trophy Northern Pike & Walleye available right off our dock. Plenty of color phase black bear. This past year, we had 35- 40 % color black bear. The average size bear has been 250 - 550 pounds, with the largest being 675lbs. We have had 98% success over the past 11 years.

After 10 years

I can't believe it's already February! We've already tucked 1 month of sport shows under our belt.
February always finds us in Harrisburg, PA. The Farm Complex is filling up with exhibitors from most anywhere in the USA and other countries.
We're gearing up for a fantastic sport show - looking forward to seeing our long time friends & the opportunity to add to that list, as we meet more people who love to hunt and fish!
If you have time (you'll need plenty for this show) come on out and spend a couple of days. We'll be looking for ya!
